The portions have shrunk and the pasta selections have been reduced, no angel hair pasta. BUT the food is excellent!!! Veal marsella and shrimp scampi, and the tutu demari is excellent. Try the lasagna!

The best Italian Beef sandwich I've ever had, hands down! Great little place right on the street. If you're within 30 miles of this absolutely delicious restaurant, I highly recommend going out of your way to stop in.

Traveling through and when I saw that they have been serving pizza since 1933, I had to stop. Started with Toasted Ravioli ... perfectly crisp and tasty! I ordered a classic sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, and onion. The crust was a little thicker than the cracker crust I like best, but it had abundant toppings and great flavor.

I’m so grateful the Alongi’s are still here serving southern Illinois the best Italian cuisine. So many memories of excellent pizza and pastas, with the signature Alongi’s dressing. Pair a pie with the local wine Black and blue. Gastro paradise. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Order spaghetti if you prefer, but do yourself a favor, try something new or get their delicious satisfying cheesy crispy pizza with your favorite toppings. Take a couple home for your Mama like I do.

Food was absolutely delicious. Fantastic service from our waitress Jada. Definitely looking forward to going back UPDATED POST: 02/10/2024 We love going to Alongi's. The service and food are always amazing. I decided to try something new today and got the Mushroom Ravioli with creamy garlic sauce. I have a new favorite dish. Their creamy garlic sauce is on point. Creamy perfection. Enjoy my complimentary birthday Spumoni.

A fantastic place to eat. The best Italian Beef sandwich I've ever had, without a doubt. Great service, friendly severs, delicious food - what more could you ask for in one place? The charm: built in 1933, still has that old style. Beautifully built: classic, vintage, Italian-American restaurant. If you're within 30 minutes, I'd recommend going out of the way to eat here.

I had such a great experience here. I sat outside on the beautiful, quiet patio and had the delicious Sicilian salad and wine. I loved the seasoned grilled chicken on top. The salad portion was big but I still could not say no to the ice cream. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to come back the next time I am in town!
